I am about to buy a new laptop but I was wondering what laptop should I buy?  I have around $750 / £500 to spend.

I will be using my laptop mostly for business, studying in university and simple web browsing, I will have to carry the laptop around a lot so I would like one that is light but has a good battery life.  I have tried windows 7 and I quite like it other than that I have no preconceptions.

What Laptop Should I Buy?

Option One: HP Pavilion dv6-3140us 15.6-Inch Laptop – $729

Option Two: Toshiba Satellite L655-S5112 15.6-Inch – $727

This is a recent email we got to the site, I’ve had a quick look at the above two laptops and while they appear to be quite similar they have different reviews.

The Toshiba laptop is my choice between the two because it quite simply out performs the HP laptop in almost every way, stronger processor, stronger brand, stronger graphics and its bundled with better software!  Did I mention its $2 cheaper!

Well I guess this is my answer to what laptop should I buy? If you have any opinions on the above two laptops please leave them in the comments below.
